Chicken Wings in Honey Sauce

Chicken wings are a juicy bite for any food lover. They are a relatively inexpensive option for food preparation during holidays, celebrations and parties. A combination of spices or marinades can turn ordinary baked wings into a real treat. There are many ways to prepare wings to be so delicious, and this is just one of them.

Ingredients
(for 20 chicken wings)

1 cup flour (125g)
1 teaspoon of chili powder
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1 teaspoon of allspice
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 cup of barbecue sauce (290g)
½ cup honey (170g)

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 220°C.

2. In a glass bowl, mix the flour, chili powder, salt, pepper, allspice and garlic powder. If the stumps have not been removed from the wings, remove them with a knife. Lightly cut the wings in 2-3 places. Mix the chicken wings evenly in the resulting mixture and shake off the excess.

3. Place the floured wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread them out in a single layer, side by side.

4. Bake for 45 minutes, then remove the baking sheet and turn the chicken wings over. Continue baking for another 10-15 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden brown.

5. Preheat the oven to 250°C.

6. In a separate bowl, mix the barbecue sauce and honey. Mix the wings in the sauce and coat them evenly.

7. Place the coated chicken wings back on the baking sheet and spread them out so that they are evenly distributed in a single layer.

8. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the sauce is bubbly and caramelized. Cool the baked wings, then serve.

You can repeat the same procedure if you decide to grill the wings, just take care of the grill temperature so that you don’t burn them.
